Gintama Anime Review

Gintama is a well known comedy anime. It relates the story of a samurai named Gintama (what a surprise) who lives in an Edo where the world was invaded by aliens and struggles in everyday life to get enough money to pay his rent. I can already see the epicness of the scenario, but anyways.

Now this anime is supposed to be funny -emphasis on the "supposed"- because this anime simply does not make me laugh. Perhaps I'm not mature enough. Perhaps I'm too mature, but these jokes are far from funny in any way. I understand a lot of people love this show which leaves that question in my head: Why?

I have grinded through more than a hundred episodes of this and I have yet to laugh (well maybe I did laugh once or twice but the point is that it's a pretty low ratio).

There is very few action and I think the thing that annoys me the most in this anime is the fact that there is NO STORYLINE whatsoever. What kind of anime has completely separate episodes without a hint of story between them. It just makes me hate it even more.

This anime is really on the margin of passable. It does however have likeable characters... Who am I kidding??? the characters in this anime are more hateable than likeable. I' m stuck between the main character who acts like an idiot except when he's needed (then he suddenly becomes mature. I mean come on what's the point, can't he be mature all the time?), the cry baby girl who's as strong as an ogre, and the useless pervy retard who is (like many retarded people) in love with a celebrity.

Fairy Tail Anime Review

Fairy Tail is a manga written by Hiro Mashina (not that you know him) that relates the adventures of a magic guild (called Fairy Tail -.-') –an association of people who work together using magic powers to accomplish jobs- as they journey through sub plots in the story line… Most of them are: “it’s the end of the world if FairyTail doesn’t help” but there are also some fights between guilds and the “main” plot is the search of the lost dragons. The manga is fitted with hilarious scenes, sad moments and (mostly) a lot of good action which makes FairyTail one of the classics in action manga (alongside the famously hated Naruto and One Piece). It has been adapted in an anime (which isn’t half bad).

Rating:

Emotional Setting: 9/10

-Very few anime made me cry, Fairy Tail is one of them.

-Good sense of humor, and similarly to Naruto, the first chapters are much more focused on making you laugh than actually developing the plot.

Storyline: 6/10 

-The arcs aren't too long or too short but it doesn't stray too much from our expectations, so try to do something a bit more unexpected instead of following the same story path over and over again.

-Only two anime so far have completely messed up their "skip to the future" part, Bleach and Fairy Tail. In Fairy Tail's case, what they did was truly unbelievable, because the main characters couldn't change for 7 years, everything around them has changed, but they haven't. Which is exactly the opposite of what is supposed to happen after time jumps. It then tried to catch up by quickly changing the main character's clothes, but the main problem is that they're supposed to have had some kind of training for 7 years, but because they were immobilized, they couldn't train at all, so the writer realized that he'd made a mistake and made them train for a few days...-yes, to catch up 7 years-

-They also had the opportunity to change the villains a bit, but instead they re-used the same villains as before the 7 year gap. Thank you originality.

Art: 8/10 

-nothing to say, impeccable, smooth drawings and cool characters

O.S.T. : 9/10 

-note that it's the same guy that does Naruto's O.S.T., so expect good music.

Final rating: 8/10

I recommend this anime to people who love good old action anime with special powers and magic.
